Sericulture is a small department.. It does not play as much role to develop Sericulture in the district due to shortage of fund. Whereas, it maintain demonstration farm at Saikah.
Sericulture demonstration farm at Saikah cover an area of 50 ha. The department are not in a position to overlook all the area. The department plant more than 3,000 Mulberry and are expect to plant another 5,000 mulberry.
