Mission Statement: 

The Information & Public Relations Department serves as the primary agency for the Lai Autonomous District Council, responsible for disseminating government information to the public through media channels and providing feedback to the government on critical issues reported in the media. Additionally, the department functions as the official publicity agency for the Lai Autonomous District Council, authorized to share accurate and timely information.

Through its efforts, the department aims to bridge the gap between the government and the people, ensuring transparency, accountability, and effective governance.

 Allocation of Business:

  1. Newspaper and periodicals
  2. Publication and Publicity.
  3. Advertisements.
  4. Public relation and mass communications.
  5. Co-ordination with AIR & Doordarshan.
  6. Preparation of Calendar / Choice of the people.

 Functioning:

  1. Information Dissemination: Share government information, news, and updates with the public through various channels, including press releases, newsletters, social media posts, etc.
  2. Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure coverage and promote LADC initiatives. 
  3. Public Relations: Foster a positive image and reputation of the government through strategic communication and issue management.
  4. Event Management: Organize and coordinate events, press conferences, and public meetings to promote government initiatives and engage with stakeholders. 
  5. Audio-Visual Services: Provide video coverage and live telecast of LADC programs

 Achievements:

  1. Successfully printed and distributed 6,500 copies of the LADC Calendar 2024 and 1,000 copies of LADC Diaries.
  2. Maintained subscriptions to six local newspapers, including Lairam, Rameng, Lawngtlai Post, Rauthla, Phawngpui Express, and Lawngtlai Today.
  3. Published LADC's advertisement, tender, and quotation in approved local newspapers to promote transparency.
  4. Periodically published the LADC Newsletter "The Council Aw" to keep stakeholders informed.
  5. Composed and posted press releases on social media via WhatsApp and the website to enhance public awareness.
  6. Live telecast LADC programs, such as Session and Hlukhla 2024, etc. to enhance public engagement.
  7. Ensured timely updates and maintenance of the LADC website with press releases, circulars, notifications, tenders, news, and photos.
  8. Provided photography and videography services for various LADC functions and activities.
  9.  Effectively managed the LADC YouTube channel, uploading and live telecasting various programs and functions.
  10. Provided Grant-in-Aid to MJA Lawngtlai to support their initiatives.
  11. Offered sound system support for LADC events to ensure seamless execution.

 Initiatives and Projects:

    1. LADC Website Revamp: Upgrading the LADC website to improve user experience and provide latest updates on LADC's initiatives and activities.
    2. Social Media Campaigns: Launching targeted social media campaigns to engage with the public, promote LADC's programs, and increase online presence.
    3. LADC Newsletter Expansion: Expanding the scope and frequency of the LADC Newsletter to keep stakeholders informed about LADC's initiatives and achievements.
    4. Photography and Videography Documentation: Documenting LADC's events, activities, and achievements through photography and videography to create a visual archive.
    5. LADC YouTube Channel Growth: Growing the LADC YouTube channel by uploading regular content, live telecasting events, and increasing subscribers.
  • Completed Projects:
