AH & Vety Department,Lai Autonomous District Council. 

Functions : The Department functions as per the direction of the concerned Executive member in consonant with The LADC (Allocation of Business) Rules,2013

Duties : 

1)Development of Livestock to increase productivity.

2)Preservation and protection of livestock through health care.

The powers & duties of its officers and employees.

.The powers and duties of AH & Vety officers and its employees are to look after the  department and its functions. To look after clerical works and also field works by the field staff.

The procedure followed in the decision making process,including channels of supervision and accountability

The procedure followed in the decision making is that all decisions are to be decided by the Executive Committee and in some case by the concerned officers in consultation with the concerned Executive Member. Regarding channels of supervision and accountability VI and VFA take necessary verifications and give instructions.
