The main duties and function of Horticulture Department is to impart improved scientific practices, adoption of improved input materials to farmers and provide technical assistance, know-how to farmers. To combat insect-pest, diseases out break through scientific method besides increase in vegetable crops, fruit crops etc. Production and to increase per capita income to farmers.
The following are the particulars and functions of Officers and Staffs under the Department :-
- T. Zoramnghawra DCHO/SPIO for Agri/Horti Dept. Pay level (11)
He is the Head of the Department and all works and administration under the Department is carried out and performed through his instruction.
- C. Khawlthangi LDC Pay level (6)
All clerical works distributed by DCHO.
- C. Lalengkima Demonstrator Pay level (6)
All field works are carried out through his instruction, verification and detailment of field staff and maintain stock Register and Godown assigned by DCHO.
- Nghakthanga Demonstrator Pay level (7)
All field works are carried out through his instruction, verification and detailment of field staff and maintain stock Register and Godown assigned by DCHO.
- Lianthangpuia Field Assistant Pay level (5)
All field works are carried out through his instruction, verification and detailment of field staff and maintain stock Register and Godown assigned by DCHO.
- C. Vanlalzawmliana Demonstrator Pay level (4)
All field works are carried out through his instruction, verification and detailment of field staff and maintain stock Register and Godown assigned by DCHO.
- C.Hmingchhuanmawia IV Grade/Peon Pay level (3)
He assist DCHO as personal Peon.
