Lawngtlai, October 20, 2024: The 64th Annual Fresher's Social-cum-Felicitation Programme organized by the Lai Students' Association, Sub-Hqrs. Shillong, took place on October 19, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Pu C. Rongura, Executive Member in charge of the Art & Culture Department of LADC, was the chief guest, alongside Pu Lalthanmawia Colney, Deputy Chief Whip, LADC, who was the guest of honor.

In his address, Pu C. Rongura emphasized the importance of education and personal development, urging students to cultivate dedication and integrity in their studies. He highlighted the need for quality in education and encouraged students to take pride in their heritage and identity while striving for academic excellence.

Pu Lalthanmawia Colney also spoke on the importance of education in fostering national and community pride, advocating for a holistic approach to learning that prepares students to contribute positively to society.

The programme featured remarks from Pu HC. Vanlalruatpuia, President of CYLA, who reinforced the value of education and community service. 

The event concluded with insights from Vanneihtluanga Chinzah, President of LSA Sub-Hqrs., and H. Lalnunthara, who contributed to the discussions.
