Lawngtlai, May 23, 2026:On May 22, 2026 (Friday), the AH & Veterinary Department, LADC organised a Farmers’ Training Programme at the LADC Conference Hall under the theme “Training on Management and Different Poultry Diseases.”

The programme was chaired by Dr. Lalnunpuia Chinzah, DCVO, LADC, who spoke about the purpose of the training and highlighted various important topics that participants would learn during the session. He also expressed hope that the trainees would make practical and beneficial use of the knowledge gained from the programme.

Dr. John B. Khitie served as the Resource Person for the training. Around 40 selected and interested poultry farmers participated in the programme. The training covered the prevention and management of various poultry diseases, methods of improving poultry production, and ways for poultry farmers to increase productivity and profitability.

An interactive question-and-answer session was also held, during which farmers shared different challenges and concerns, including the high cost of poultry feed and issues related to marketing and selling poultry products. Dr. Lalnunpuia Chinzah, DCVO, and the Resource Person provided clarifications and suggested possible solutions to the concerns raised by the participants.
