Lawngtlai, April 7, 2025: Today, Mr. C. Lalhmunsiama, Sanitation & Waste Management Officer and hotel owners in Lawngtlai gathered at his office chamber and discussed the importance and improvement needed for strict adherence to health regulations and various safety protocols.

Mr. C. Lalhmunsiama, S&WMO LADC stated that the sanitation measures must be strictly followed in order to ensure public health and safety. He emphasized that with the growing amount of guests in Lawngtlai for various reasons, we need to address the varying types of waste management challenges, and that it is crucial for the hotels to comply with regulations. He mentioned that cooperation among hotels is essential, and that each hotel should maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene to uphold the reputation of Lawngtlai. Sanitation Inspectors will also conduct verification if the above is followed.

Additionally, he also stated that the crime rate in Lawngtlai have increased exponentially and to ensure the safety of the public, he suggested that each hotel should ensure proper registration of guests and collect two passport-sized photographs of each guest, one for registration and one for submission to the Office, stressing the importance of compliance in maintaining safety protocols.

After other important matters are discussed, the gathering was put to a stop where hotels are thus reminded to prioritize health and sanitation measures in their operations.
