Lawngtlai, November 26, 2024: The LADC Chairman Volleyball Tournament - 2024, organized by the District Volleyball Association, Lawngtlai, was officially inaugurated today at the Lawngtlai Vengpui Volleyball Court. The event was graced by Pu H. Lalmuansanga, Dy. Chairman, LADC, as the Chief Guest.
In his inaugural address, Pu H. Lalmuansanga highlighted the importance of empowering the youth to excel and actively participate in constructive activities. He emphasized that sports play a pivotal role in fostering discipline, physical well-being, and moral values among the youth. He also stressed the need for determination and teamwork, urging the participants to uphold sportsmanship. He expressed his desire for volleyball in Lawngtlai to achieve greater milestones and called for concerted efforts to promote the sport further.
Pu Lalmuansanga also expressed hope in the continued growth of Lairam, urging the younger generation to embrace responsibility and contribute toward the progress of their community.
The inaugural program was chaired by Pu K. Lalromawia, President of the District Volleyball Association, Lawngtlai, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Pu H. Lalmuanthanga, Vice President, Village Council Court, Lawngtlai Vengpui.
The tournament will take place from November 26 to 30, 2024, featuring:
- Men's Category: 6 teams divided into 2 pools, with a league system to determine semi-finalists (pool winners and runners-up).
- Women's Category: 2 teams competing in a home-and-away match format.
Awards:
- Men's Champion: Cash prize, trophy, and certificate.
- Women's Champion: Cash prize, trophy, and certificate.
- Additional individual awards will also be distributed.
