Lawngtlai, September 21, 2026: On Saturday, September 19, 2026, the LDFA President Cup 2nd Division Final, organised by the Lawngtlai District Football Association (LDFA), was held. Chief Executive Member (CEM), LADC, Pu C. Lalsawmzuala, attended the final as the Chief Guest and also distributed the prizes to the winners.

Speaking on the occasion, Pu C. Lalsawmzuala said that it is encouraging to see the significant progress being made in football in Lawngtlai District. He said that such development could also be attributed to the initiatives undertaken by the LADC SYS Department. He appreciated the dedication of Pu C. Hrangthianga, Executive Member in charge of the SYS Department, and expressed his gratitude for his efforts.

He further said that organising tournaments by dividing teams into different divisions is a positive and innovative initiative, and that the commitment of the LDFA leaders is also highly commendable. He stated that efforts are being made to promote football further and that a Football Academy has now been established for boys, with plans to develop and run it in a more systematic and advanced manner in the future.

Executive Member, LADC, and in-charge of the SYS Department, as well as President of the LDFA, Pu C. Hrangthianga, also delivered words of appreciation and encouragement on the occasion.

In the President Cup Final, FC Rosa faced North Gate FC. North Gate FC emerged victorious and were crowned champions, receiving the Champion Cup.
