Lawngtlai, September 15, 2026: A meeting of the Village Level Parking Management Committee (VLPMC) on the issue of roadside overnight parking in Lawngtlai town was held today at the CEM LADC Conference Hall under the chairmanship of Chief Executive Member, LADC, Pu C. Lalsawmzuala.

Addressing the meeting, Pu C. Lalsawmzuala expressed his appreciation to the VLPMC members for their dedicated cooperation with the government and their efforts in addressing the issue. He said that the LADC Government would continue to take all possible steps to address the various difficulties brought to its attention. He also stated that a new and improved set of rules had already been formulated and expressed hope that they would be implemented soon.

A review of the ongoing roadside overnight parking system in Lawngtlai town was conducted during the meeting. VLPMC members from different localities shared the various difficulties faced in their respective areas. They also highlighted the usefulness of the roadside overnight parking system and the need for continued effective cooperation with the government. Discussions were also held on further measures to be taken for better implementation of the system.

Pu Lalzahawma Chinzah, EM i/c LAD, and Pu Thansiama, Transport Officer, LADC, were also present at the meeting.
