PR No. 19/2026–2027

Lawngtlai, April 21, 2026:Today, the Deputy Chief Executive Member (LADC), Pu Sanghuliana Mualchin, who is in charge of Primary Education, visited several primary schools within the town to assess their functioning and overall condition.

During his visits to various schools, Pu Sanghuliana Mualchin encouraged teachers to be good role models for students. He stated, “We must maintain discipline in our conduct, and we should never forget that we are role models. The government is making continuous efforts to improve education, and teachers must clearly understand our current educational status and be willing to face the challenges we encounter.”

He further said, “I intend to visit as many of our primary schools as possible to better understand the issues you face. Although the largest portion of the Council’s budget is allocated to the Education Department, the current state of education is still not very satisfactory. Therefore, this new LADC government is committed to taking strong steps forward, and I urge teachers to actively contribute as you are among the most important stakeholders. I also encourage you to serve with dedication for the welfare of the people. Even though we belong to different communities, we must not be divided by politics. I once again urge you to treat your work as a top priority.”

The Deputy CEM visited Electric Veng Primary School, Thingkah Primary School I & II, and AOC Primary School I & II. He was warmly received at all the schools. He was accompanied by Pu Lalnunzawmpuia, Deputy EEO (Education Primary), LADC.
