Lawngtlai, September 3, 2026: Today, Executive Member, LADC, Pu C. Hrangthianga, in charge of the Sports & Youth Services Department, graced the Teachers’ Day celebration organized by Government Southern Standard Middle School at Lawngtlai College Veng.

Speaking on the occasion, Pu C. Hrangthianga stated that teaching is a highly respectable profession and emphasized that teachers should never neglect their responsibilities. He said that teachers play a vital role in the development and progress of the state and that teaching is one of the most important and challenging professions among the various government services. He further highlighted that teachers have the important responsibility of shaping students into responsible citizens.

He also emphasized that, just as the teaching profession is highly respected, teachers must maintain discipline and conduct themselves with dignity at all times. He urged teachers to set good examples through their character and conduct so that their students could look up to them and emulate their good qualities. He also stressed the need for teachers to remain careful and responsible in their profession.

During the programme, the message of the Hon’ble Education Minister, Government of Mizoram, Dr. Vanlalthlana, and the message of Executive Member, LADC, Pu H. Vanlaltanpuia, in charge of Middle School Education, were read out. Students also presented various special items as a mark of respect and appreciation for their teachers.

The Teachers’ Day programme of GSS Middle School was chaired by Pu B. Muana. Students presented various gifts to their teachers as a token of love and appreciation, and the occasion was celebrated in a joyful atmosphere. Pu C. Lalmuanvela, DCAO, LADC, also accompanied and supported the Executive Member during the programme.
