Lawngtlai, August 10, 2026: The National Deworming Day programme organised by the National Health Mission, Lawngtlai District, was launched today at Chandmary Comprehensive Middle School. Executive Member, LADC, Pu H. Vanlaltanpuia, in charge of Education & Human Resources Department (M/S), LADC, attended the programme as the Chief Guest and formally launched the Deworming Day campaign.

Speaking on the occasion, Pu H. Vanlaltanpuia expressed his appreciation for the Health Department’s initiative of providing deworming medicine free of cost to school children. He stated that the programme is an important step towards ensuring the healthy growth and well-being of children.

As part of the programme, the Chief Guest administered deworming medicine to the school children. The Headmistress of Chandmary Comprehensive Middle School and Dr. Remlalnghaki, Deputy CMO, Lawngtlai District, also addressed the gathering.

Pu H. Vanlaltanpuia was accompanied by Pu B. Lalhnuna, Elementary Education Officer (M/S), Pu Moses Lalvenhima, Assistant Hindi Propagation Officer, LADC, and other Education Department staff.
