Lawngtlai, September 3, 2026: Today, Executive Member LADC, Pu HC. Lalengkima, in charge of the Environment, Forest & Climate Change Department and also the MDC of the constituency, held a meeting with the Chawngte ‘P’ Village Council (VC) and leaders of voluntary organisations, namely MUP, MHIP, YMA and YLA, at the VC House.

Addressing the gathering, Pu HC. Lalengkima encouraged the community leaders to work together with dedication and care for the welfare of the people. He urged them to guide the youth and students of Chawngte ‘P’ so that they may take ownership and actively contribute to the development of their community.

He further said that there would certainly be opportunities in the future for appointment to various posts, including positions as LADC officers and other government-related jobs. Therefore, he encouraged the youth and students to prepare themselves properly, qualify according to the prescribed rules, and develop the skills necessary to perform their duties effectively.

He called upon the people to continue working together for the development and progress of Chawngte ‘P’, while maintaining a strong sense of ownership and taking responsibility for both the achievements and challenges of the community.

As part of his support for the Chawngte ‘P’ community, he also handed over two security cameras and distributed silpaulin sheets to the YLA and YMA.

The meeting was chaired by VCP Pu Lalhmunzauva. Leaders of the Village Council and various NGOs participated actively in the meeting. The participants expressed their appreciation for having a Bialtu MDC who is also an Executive Member and who takes a keen interest in the welfare and development of the constituency.

The meeting also emphasised the importance of unity and cooperation among the people for the overall development of the community. Various issues considered necessary and important for the welfare of the village were also discussed.
