Lawngtlai, August 25, 2026: Today, Executive Member LADC, Pu HC. Lalthawmliana, in charge of the PHE Department, attended as the Chief Guest and inaugurated the District Volleyball Association Season Opening Tournament held at Chandmary Recreation Centre.

In his address, Pu HC. Lalthawmliana stated that sports and various sporting disciplines are continuously making progress in today's world. He appreciated the efforts of the District Volleyball Association (DVA) in striving to promote volleyball in Lawngtlai District by keeping pace with developments in the wider world. He also highlighted that the LADC Sports & Youth Department has been making strong efforts to promote the development of various sporting disciplines, and that the progress and achievements being witnessed are highly encouraging.

He emphasized that determination, hard work and sincerity are essential for success in sports. He also urged everyone to stay away from harmful substances, including drugs and alcohol. He said that sports should not be viewed merely as a means of livelihood, but should also be encouraged for maintaining physical health and well-being.

Concluding his address, he encouraged all the participants to give their best with dedication and sincerity and extended his best wishes to them for success.

The District Volleyball Association Lawngtlai Season Opening Tournament will be held from August 25 to 29, 2026, at Chandmary Recreation Centre.
