Lawngtlai, May 21, 2026: Executive Member of LADC, Pu C. Hrangthianga, who is also the MDC of College Veng Constituency and in-charge of the Agriculture Department, attended the Chawnhu LWA Silver Jubilee (25th Anniversary) celebration today as the chief guest. He also inaugurated the Silver Jubilee commemorative stone.

In his speech, Pu C. Hrangthianga said that members of the LWA should put forth their best efforts to fulfill the aims and objectives for which the organization was established. He stated that if they neither understand nor successfully carry out their purpose and objectives, the organization would lose its meaning and significance. Therefore, as LWA members, they should actively work toward helping those in need and preserving and promoting the identity and culture of the Lai community.

He further said that just as the government gives importance to the welfare and status of women, women are also increasingly occupying important positions in both the government and society. He described this as a very encouraging development. He also reminded women of their important role as caretakers of the family and urged them to continue fulfilling their responsibilities in nurturing families so that society, the church, the community, and the nation may become more peaceful and secure.

Before presenting the Jubilee gifts, he conveyed his best wishes for a joyful and successful Silver Jubilee celebration.
