Lawngtlai, May 20, 2026: On May 19, 2026, Executive Member of LADC, Pu HC. Lalthawmliana, who is in charge of the PHE Department, held a meeting and interaction session with the staff of Lai House, Bungkawn, Aizawl, at the Lai House Conference Hall. During the meeting, they discussed various important matters and shared words of encouragement and motivation.

Pu HC. Lalthawmliana stated that Lai House is one of the main establishments representing the Lai people in Aizawl, and therefore the staff should carry a sense of ownership and responsibility. He stressed the importance of being careful and professional in receiving and attending to guests. He urged the staff to continue providing clean and proper hospitality, ensuring that visitors are welcomed warmly with comfortable accommodation and good food. He also advised them to be mindful of their language and behaviour so that guests may feel at ease and comfortable during their stay. He further encouraged the staff to properly maintain protocol, especially while receiving MDCs, former MDCs, and government officers.

He also urged the staff to faithfully carry out their respective responsibilities, preserve the dignity and reputation of the House, and ensure that guests leave with satisfaction and happiness. He encouraged all staff members to use polite and courteous language while serving visitors. Additionally, he called upon everyone to renew their commitment towards cleanliness and hygiene, while continuing to uphold and preserve Lai culture and identity.

The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Resident Commissioner (DRC) of Lai House, Aizawl, Pi Lalhminghlupuii Thang, and all Lai House staff attended the meeting in good strength.
