Lawngtlai, February 17, 2026:The swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed Deputy Chief Executive Member (Dy. CEM) and Executive Members (EMs) of the 12th Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC) was held today at the LADC Secretariat Complex. The oath of office was administered by the Deputy Commissioner of Lawngtlai, Pu Donny Lalruatsanga.

The programme was chaired by Pu K. Lalthanzara, Executive Secretary, LADC, while Rev. Dr. Lalsawmliana Sailo invoked God’s blessings for the occasion. After the official notification was read out, Pu Donny Lalruatsanga administered the oath of office to the newly appointed Dy. CEM and Executive Members.

On the occasion, Chief Executive Member (CEM) Pu C. Lalsawmzuala stated that the ceremony was not merely a formal assumption of office but a solemn commitment to serve the people. He urged the newly inducted leaders to prioritize development, economic progress, and the protection of people’s rights and welfare.

“Our governance and actions must always aim at serving the people,” the CEM emphasized. He also highlighted the importance of transparency, dedication, youth development, and the promotion of sports and other progressive initiatives.
