Lawngtlai, 12th February, 2026: Today, a free Rabies Vaccination Camp was conducted at Kawlchaw and Chawntlangpui.

The programme was held under the leadership of Dr. Lalnunpuia Chinzah, DCVO, LADC. Dr. Lalnunpuia Chinzah highlighted the importance of protection against rabies and stated that the disease can be transmitted from dogs to humans and can even lead to death. Therefore, he emphasized that dogs should be vaccinated annually for prevention.During the camp, a total of 71 dogs were administered rabies vaccines free of cost.

Those present at the vaccination camp included Dr. Lalnunpuia Chinzah, District Council Veterinary Officer; B. Lalchuanvela, Veterinary Inspector; Lalhmachhuana, Veterinary Field Assistant; and Lalenremi (UDC).
