Lawngtlai, March 16, 2026: The Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC), Pu C. Lalsawmzuala, this morning flagged off the Lawngtlai District Football Association (LDFA) team at Lawngtlai Aeropagy as they departed to participate in the MFA Cup 2026 Junior Boys tournament to be held in Mamit District.

Speaking on the occasion, the CEM encouraged the players to give their utmost effort in the competition and bring pride and honour to Lawngtlai District. He also advised the team that should they face any difficulties during their journey or participation in the tournament, they may communicate the same through the LDFA officials.

Highlighting that participation in football tournaments requires considerable financial resources, Pu C. Lalsawmzuala urged the players to remain mindful of the dedication and sacrifices made by the organisers and team officials. He encouraged the team to maintain unity, discipline and determination throughout the tournament. The CEM expressed his confidence that the team would perform well and extended his best wishes for their success in the competition.

The LDFA team representing Lawngtlai District in the MFA Cup 2026 Junior Boys tournament will be led by Coach Lailianchhunga and Manager C. Vanlalchhuanga, who also serves as Secretary/Organiser of LDFA, LADC.

The flag-off programme was attended by Pu C. Hrangthianga, Executive Member in-charge of Sports (also President of LDFA), and Pu Joseph Lalhmingthanga Chinzah, Honorary Secretary of LDFA, who accompanied the CEM during the programme.
