LAWNGTLAI, September 4, 2025: Today, Lawngtlai District's Deputy Commssioner, Pu Donny Lalruatsanga, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Executive Member of the Lai Autonomous District Council, Pu N. Zangura, at his office chamber.

Pu N. Zangura, CEM, warmly welcomed the DC and emphasized the importance of the DC's role for the public. He noted that it is wonderful to have a Deputy Commissioner belonging to the Mizo tribe considering Lawngtlai District's population is made up of the minority community and that he is grateful for his undying support.

DC, Pu Donny Lalruatsanga highlighted strong cooperation between the State Government and District Council is imperative, stressing that their collaborative efforts are crucial for the district’s development. He also expressed hope that this partnership would continue to foster unity and bring progress to the community.

The CEM was accompanied by LADC Executive Member, Information and Revenue Department, Pu Lalropuia Chinzah and discussed the issue with refugees and foreigners residing in Lawngtlai and plans for a more systematic approach to counter these issues. The Deputy Commissioner expressed his commitment to support these initiatives and that he will inform the higher authority if the need arises for the town’s betterment.
