Lawngtlai, April 7, 2025 Today, Mr. BN.Thangpuia, the Executive Member i/c Forest Department, LADC, visited the site of the fire outbreak at Phawngpui tlang National Park and provided financial assistance.

Mr. BN.Thangpuia from LADC stated that Phawngpui tlang National Park is a very important monument for our tribe and that he is deeply remorseful due to the disastrous fire outbreak. He emphasized that many important places, birds and animals alike will be affected by the fire and he thanked every person knowing the importance and wanting to preserve the lands of Phawngpui tlang National Park, who have participated in trying and putting out the fire. He then gave a total of Rs. 3,000/- (Three Thousand) to Thaltlang VCP, Thanghrina, and Rs. 5,000/- (Five Thousand) on behalf of Mr. Lorrain Lalpekliana Chinzah, MLA, Adviser to Chief Minister, to be utilized wherever necessary and commended and applaud them for their commitment.
