Lawngtlai, September 10, 2025:
Today, Pu C. Hrangthianga, Executive Member in charge of SYS Department, LADC, graced the inauguration programme of the Football Grassroot Academy, organized jointly by Mizoram State Sports Council (MSSC), Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and Lawngtlai District Football Association (LDFA) at the Residential Sports Centre, College Veng.
Speaking on the occasion, Pu C. Hrangthianga, EM highlighted that Grassroot Sports is the most important foundation for developing sports. He emphasized that when children are guided from a young age with proper discipline, knowledge, and skills, along with support and encouragement from their elders, the sports sector in Lawngtlai District can truly flourish. He remarked that achievements in sports not only bring honor to individuals, but also to their parents and to the entire Lawngtlai District. He urged the children to remain committed and disciplined, as such training will help them succeed in whatever path they pursue. He further stressed that in any Sports Discipline, three key values must be strongly upheld: hard work, teamwork, and determination.
Also speaking at the event, Pu C. Lalhmunsiama, SYS Officer, said that in today’s world, many people have gained good careers and recognition through sports, and Mizoram itself has produced many outstanding sports achievers. He added that success comes only to those who work diligently with perseverance and commitment. He encouraged the youth to take every opportunity available today, and assured that the LADC Sports Department would continue to support them in every possible way to ensure progress for the people and the community.
The programme was chaired by Pu Lalbiakliana, Chairman of the LDFA Grassroots Committee. Reports were presented by Pu Joseph Lalhmingthanga Chinzah, Honorary Secretary, while speeches were also given by Pu A. Lalropeka, VCP of College Veng, and Pu Sawitlinga, President of YLA College Veng.
The event concluded with a Football Kick-off ceremony by Pu C. Hrangthianga, EM.
