Lawngtlai, March 25, 2026:The first Budget Session of the 12th Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC) is scheduled to commence on March 27, 2026 (Friday) at 10:30 AM in the LADC Session Hall.

As per the programme, the first day of the session will include obituary references, followed by the Question Hour. Thereafter, the election of the Deputy Chairman will be conducted.

For the post of Deputy Chairman, Pu C. Lalneihkhuma, MDC (Vathuampui Constituency), filed his nomination today, March 25, 2026. His nomination was proposed by Pu Premo Kanti, MDC (M. Kawnpui Constituency), and seconded by Pu MC. Lalbiakliana, MDC (Lawngtlai-III Constituency).

The nomination paper was submitted at 3:00 PM to Pi FL. Kungpuii, Deputy Secretary, District Council Secretariat, LADC. The filing was witnessed by Congress Legislature Party Leader Pu C. Ngunlianchunga, MDC, along with other MNF MDCs.
