Lawngtlai, July 25, 2024: Today at 2:00 p.m., Pu C. Hrangthianga, Executive Member in charge of Sports & Youth Service Department, Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC), presided over the Incentive Cash Award Ceremony 2023-2024 held to honor achievers in various sports disciplines.
Pu C. Hrangthianga, EM, remarked, "Today, I am pleased to witness the recognition of our athletes who have brought pride to our land through their achievements in various sports disciplines. The dedication and perseverance they have shown deserve our utmost admiration. Even amidst challenges, they have excelled, and I am confident they will continue to shine. It is our duty to support and encourage them in every way possible. Today's event signifies our commitment to nurturing talent and promoting sports excellence. Let us continue to strive for greater heights and support our athletes wholeheartedly."
The ceremony was attended by sports officials including Pu B. Lalhnuna, Sports & Youth Officer, Pu K. Lalthanzara, Executive Secretary, LADC, and Dr. Lalnunpuia Chinzah, Secretary of LADCOA, with Pu Lalduhzuala, Assistant Sports & Youth Officer, LADC, also present to celebrate the achievements.
The details of the Incentive Cash Awards are as follows:
1) Boxing: Gold - 4, Bronze - 5, Silver - 2.
2) Shooting: Gold - 2, Bronze - 3, Silver - 2.
3) Carrom: Gold - 1.
4) Taekwondo: Bronze - 3, Silver - 4.
5) Badminton: Bronze - 4, Silver - 3.
