Lawngtlai, August 15, 2024 : On the occasion of India’s 78th Independence Day, a ceremony was held at the Lawngtlai CYLA Playground. The event began at 8:00 a.m. with a parade featuring 22 contingents. Pi Lalrinpuii, the Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Mizoram, presided over the event and addressed the gathering. The ceremony was attended by officials from the Lawngtlai District, State Government, and representatives from ADCs, including LADC and CADC.

In the afternoon, at 1:30 p.m., Pu C. Lalmuanthanga, CEM of LADC, hosted an "At Home" event at the Lawngtlai Circuit House. The gathering included prominent local figures, officials, and NGO representatives. Pu C. Lalmuanthanga extended greetings and shared reflections on the significance of Independence Day, emphasizing the importance of unity and progress. He encouraged everyone to contribute to the nation's development and uphold the values of independence through diligent work and commitment.
