Lawngtlai, September 12, 2024 : On September 11, 2024, the landing point of the Tuipui Ferry Marboat in Lawngtlai was repaired under the initiative of Pu C. Lalmuanthanga, Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC). The repair work was undertaken to address the difficulties faced by motorists and vehicle owners due to the damaged road condition.

Pu C. Lalmuanthanga, CEM, LADC, stated that the introduction of the Marboat on the Tuipui Ferry, a gift from Dr. Beichhua, MLA of Siaha constituency, was a welcome move to facilitate smoother travel between Lawngtlai and Siaha during the monsoon season. However, he acknowledged that the landing point on the Lawngtlai side was in a deplorable condition, posing risks to vehicle owners and commuters. Therefore, on September 11, 2024, the CEM initiated the repair work to ensure safer travel for all.

The CEM assured that necessary measures will be taken to maintain and improve the condition of the landing point.
