LAWNGTLAI, February 2, 2026:Earlier today, the Chief Executive Member (CEM), Lai Autonomous District Council, Pu C. Lalsawmzuala, held an important meeting at his office with officials of ABCI, PMPL and NHIDCL to discuss the improvement of road conditions within Lawngtlai town.

During the meeting, the CEM stated that the deteriorated condition of various roads and link roads within Lawngtlai town has been causing serious inconvenience to the public. He specifically urged the company officials to undertake urgent repairs of roads leading to key locations such as the Hospital, Government Offices and Educational Institutions.

The company representatives present expressed respect for the CEM’s request and conveyed their willingness to work in the interest of the public. They informed that after consulting their higher authorities, a follow-up meeting would be convened within the next two to three days to take the matter forward.

Representing the companies at the meeting were P. Hrisikesh Singh, General Manager (ABCI); Soumya Ranjan Jena, Deputy Project Manager (PMPL); and Ziaur Rahman, Manager, NHIDCL. From the LADC side, Pu K. Lalthanzara, Executive Secretary, along with Technical Officials, were also present.
