Lawngtlai, March 6, 2026: Today at 2:00 PM, at the LADC Conference Hall, H. Vanlaltanpuia, Executive Member, Education (MS), LADC, formally released the book titled “Bru Customary Law” as the Chief Guest. On the occasion, Adviser to the CEM, J. Lalrawngbawla attended the programme as the Guest of Honour.

In his speech, Chief Guest H. Vanlaltanpuia expressed his happiness over the publication of a well-organized book documenting the traditional laws and guiding principles (Customary Law) of the Bru community. He expressed hope that the book would promote unity, harmony, and guide the Bru people towards the right path of progress. He also conveyed his best wishes.

Guest of Honour J. Lalrawngbawla also delivered an encouraging speech highlighting the importance of the book and the various benefits it will bring to the Bru community.

The book release programme was attended by leaders of the Lai Autonomous District Council and important representatives of the Bru community. The book “Bru Customary Law” is expected to greatly help the Bru people in preserving their traditions and safeguarding their customary practices.
