PR NO. 72/2025–2026

Lawngtlai, February 23, 2026: Today at 11:00 AM, Pu MC. Lalbiakliana, Vice Chairman of the Planning & Development Board, LADC, officially assumed charge of his new office.

On the occasion, Pu C. Lalsawmzuala, Chief Executive Member (CEM), delivered a speech expressing his satisfaction at having a capable and competent new Vice Chairman for the Planning & Development Board. He stated that it is a matter of great satisfaction that the new Vice Chairman has formally taken charge of his office. He further added that efforts will be made to strengthen the Department and enhance its efficiency. As the CEM also serves as the Chairman of the Board, close coordination between them is very important, and they will work together wholeheartedly to achieve their goals.

Pu MC. Lalbiakliana, in his speech, expressed gratitude to God and the leaders for entrusting him with this important responsibility. He also thanked the people of 15-Lawngtlai-III MDC Constituency for their support. He stated, “I am grateful to our leaders for appointing me to shoulder this important responsibility. I also extend my heartfelt thanks to the people of 15-Lawngtlai-III MDC Constituency. With God’s guidance, we will work to the best of our ability for the welfare of our land.”

The programme was chaired by Pu Lalnunsiama. Upa K. Liansiama led a prayer, dedicating the new office and its responsibilities to God.

Among those present at the function were Pu Sanghuliana Mualchin, Deputy CEM; Pu Lalropuia, Executive Member; Pu H. Biakzaua, former MLA; Pu David C. Zothantluanga, P&DO, LADC; and other important officials who attended the office assumption ceremony.
