Lawngtlai, May 25, 2025: Today at 11:00 AM, LADC Chief Executive Member Pu N. Zangura and MDC Pu B.N. Thangpuia met with Union Minister of State Pu George Kurian, marking a highly productive meeting. Pu N. Zangura, CEM, presented various development initiatives and proposals for the LADC, while Minister of State Pu George Kurian (Minority Affairs, etc.) expressed strong support for these efforts.

The following project proposals were submitted by the LADC government:

1. Construction of a Comprehensive Model English School within LADC (Rs. 443 lakhs)  

2. Development of Fisheries Production within LADC (Rs. 461.12 lakhs)  

3. Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) (Rs. 377.022 lakhs)

Additionally, concept papers submitted previously to relevant Department on "Livestock Rearing such as Poultry Farming, Goat Farming, etc., for Economically Backward Scheduled Tribe Communities in the LADC Area" and a newly prepared concept paper on "Establishing a Rehabilitation Centre in Lawngtlai District" were submitted to the Minister of State in hard copies.
