Lawngtlai, July 11, 2025: Pu N. Zangura, Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Lai Autonomous District Council, LADC, visits New Delhi where he met with the Chairman and Members of the 16th Finance Commission. During this meeting, he followed-up on various projects submitted by LADC as well as discussed with them the various requirements of LADC.

During the visit of CEM Pu N. Zangura, Dr. Arvind Panagariya, Chairman of the 16th Finance Commission, and Dr. Manoj Panda, Member of the Commission, along with other officials welcomed him. The Chairman and Members expressed their commitment to reviewing proposals submitted by Autonomous District Councils (ADCs) and assured support for implementing the prioritized projects. They also expressed their heartfelt greetings for going all the way to New Delhi to discuss the projects.

They were instructed to re-submit the projects presented according to prioritized list for consideration.

It is noteworthy that Pu N. Zangura had previously met with the 16th Finance Commission Chairman in New Delhi in March of this year.

Pu N. Zangura, CEM, was accompanied by Pu BN. Thangpuia, MDC, and Pu Joseph Lalhmingthanga Chinzah, Senior Accounts Officer, Finance Department.
