Lawngtlai, July 23, 2024: Pu Sanghuliana Mualchin, Executive Member in charge of Primary School under the Lai Autonomous District Council, presided over the closing function of the Inter Branch YLA Golden Jubilee Cup 2024 Football tournament.

In his speech, Pu Sanghuliana Mualchin expressed his gratitude to God for the well-being of the country and its people, acknowledging the significant role played by YLA since its inception on September 23, 1974. He highlighted the significance of the Golden Jubilee (50 years) celebration and emphasized the importance of YLA’s contributions to society. He also reiterated the commitment to achieving high standards in governance and the welfare of the community.

Pu Sanghuliana Mualchin stressed that sports play a crucial role in societal development, citing the achievements of Mizoram's footballers and their impact on the national stage. He encouraged the youth to take sports seriously and strive for excellence. He also praised the LADC Sports Department for its efforts in promoting various sports disciplines and fostering a culture of sportsmanship.

The Golden Jubilee Football Closing Function featured Pu C. Lalhmachhuana, Chairman of the G&C Committee, as the chief guest, and Upa F. Lalrothanga, Vice President of CYLA, as a special guest. Pu H.C. Vanlalruatpuia, President of CYLA, spoke about the selfless service of YLA and the shared responsibility to continue its legacy.

The event concluded with a report from Lalhriatzuala Chinzah, Secretary of the G&C Committee, and remarks from Pu Joseph Lalhmingthanga Chinzah, General Secretary of CYLA, expressing appreciation for the successful conduct of the closing function.
