Lawngtlai, June 21, 2025: Since the Sanitation Department of LADC has been unable to properly dispose waste for a fair amount of time, a directive has been issued that waste to be disposed of starting from June 23, 2025 (Monday). In this regard, Mr. C. Lalhmunsiama, Sanitation & Waste Management Officer, LADC, has prepared a statement.

Due to the occurance of the natural disaster throughout Lawngtlai town, and since the debris accumulated at Lawngtlai Bazar and Chandmary juction where the disaster struck, has been dumped in the Sanitation Department Dumping Ground, the Sanitation Department has been unable to collect and dispose of the waste genarated by the public for a considerable amount of time. To address this situation and as requested, the Deputy Commissioner, Lawngtlai has cleared the dumping ground on June 21, 2025, which was done successfully.

Words of gratitute are hereby sent by the Sanitation Department LADC to - Deputy Commissioner, Lawngtlai, SDO (S), EE PWD, Lawngtlai Division, SDC, and Mr. MC Lalsangliana, L-III. The statement also highlighted that collection and disposal of waste/debris will resume from next week in the order that was previously followed.
