Lawngtlai, March 17, 2025: Today, at 01:30 PM, swearing-in ceremony for nine (9) Members of the District Council (MDC) from the Lai Autonomous District Council as Executive Members took place at LADC Conference Hall, Lawngtlai. These Executive Members are part of the ZPM Legislature Party, with Pu Cheemala Siva Gopal Reddy, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Lawngtlai, officiating to administer the oath.  

This Swearing-in Ceremony was chaired by Pu K. Lalthanzara, Executive Secretary of LADC. After reading the letter of appointment issued by Hon’ble Governor, Gen. (Dr) Vijay Kumar Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd.), the Chairman requested Pu Cheemala Siva Gopal Reddy, IAS Deputy Commissioner, Lawngtlai and Pu Manghmunga Chinzah, Dy. Chief Executive Member & elected MDC for 13-Lawngtlai Council Veng to carry out the oath taking ceremony, followed by the rest of the newly appointed Executive Members.

Pu V. Zirsanga, Chief Executive Member, LADC, announced the portfolio of each Executive Members and expressed that the new Executive Members will be actively engaged in their respective departments. He then thanked the Deputy Commissioner, Lawngtlai alongwith all the people present who took time out of their busy schedule to attend the ceremony. He also thanked Dr. Lorrain Lalpekliana Chinzah, MLA, Adviser to the Chief Minister on behalf of CEM and all Executive Members as well as the leaders ZPM Legislature Party for this valuable opportunity. He also shared his thoughts, emphasizing the need for cooperation with the State Government to create a peaceful working environment to achieve effective improvements for LADC.

Furthermore, he iterated that ZPM's aim to focus on new initiatives will also be strictly adopted in LADC. He then requested residents, party members, as well as officers and staff under LADC to enhance their efforts for development to create a better Lawngtlai.

Additionally, Pu N. Zangura, MDC, 21-M. Kawnpui bialtu, Adviser to CEM will assist the Chief Executive Member to oversee works relating to Taxation Department, while Pu Tuturu Singh, 20-Sakeilui bialtu, Deputy Chief Whip will assist the Chief Executive Member to oversee Social Welfare Department.  

During the swearing-in ceremony, Rev. C. Lalengkima, LIKBK performed devotion and invoked blessings from God for the new Executive Members.

 Furthermore, Pu Lorrain Lalpekliana Chinzah, MLA, Adviser to the Chief Minister was present during the event.
