LAWNGTLAI, August 26, 2025 – At 2:00 p.m. today, the swearing-in ceremony for the new Executive Members of the 11th Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC) was held at the LADC Conference Hall. Mr. David Lalrinawma, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Lawngtlai, administered the oath.
During the ceremony, Mr. K. Lalthanzara, Executive Secretary of LADC, read the Governor of Mizoram's appointment letter for the new Executive Members issued by the Secretary to the Government of Mizoram, DC&MA Department. Mr. N. Zangura, Chief Executive Member, delivered a speech congratulating the newly appointed EMs and thanking them for their undying support.
In his remarks, he quoted "I consider this responsibility to be a great honor and a serious commitment entrusted to us by the government. As we move forward together, let us strive to uphold the highest standards. Despite the difficulties we may face, our dedication to our constituents and our homeland must never waver. With the blessings of the Almighty and the support of our people, we will work tirelessly to fulfill our duties and advance the welfare of our region. I congratulate the newly sworn-in Executive Members and express my hope for their success and cooperation".

Additionally, certain office holders have been appointed to as: Mr. BN. Thangpuia, Adviser to the CEM, will oversee the Environment, Forest & Climate Change Department; Mr. C. Lalmuanthanga, Vice Chairman of the Planning & Development Board, will assist with the Taxation Department; Mr. Tuturu Sing, Deputy Chief Whip, will support the Minor Irrigation Department. Furthermore, Mr. Lalthanmawia Colney was appointed as Chairman of the Town Committee.
This important ceremony was organized under the guidance of Mr. K. Lalthanzara, Executive Secretary of LADC. Rev. C. Lalthangzuala led the opening prayer. The event was also graced by former MLA Mr. H. Biakzaua, along with special invitees and LADC employees. After the swearing-in ceremony, Heads of Departments (HODs) escorted their respective Executive Members to their respective rooms assigned.
