Lawngtlai, November 23, 2024: The 2024 ChinTube People's Choice Award Ceremony was held on the night of November 22, with LADC Chief Executive Member (CEM), Pu C. Lalmuanthanga, as the Chief Guest.  

In his speech as Chief Guest, Pu C. Lalmuanthanga emphasized the importance of showcasing and preserving our cultural identity through language and traditions. He pointed out that while we, the Lai people, live in a modern era, there is a tendency to disregard or feel hesitant about expressing our identity through our language and way of life. He noted that this mindset could lead to a loss of cultural pride and encouraged everyone to take pride in the cultural and linguistic heritage given to us by God.  

He stressed that although external influences often lead us to adopt other lifestyles and customs, it is crucial for us to embrace and preserve our language and identity. He remarked, "We are not Lai people simply by chance; God created us to be Lai people. A land may have its boundaries, but a people must not lose their sense of identity." He concluded by urging the Lai people to live in love and harmony with one another to preserve unity and their cultural legacy.  

The ChinTube People's Choice Award Ceremony was graced by several notable attendees, including Dr. Lorraine Lalpekliana, Adviser to the Chief Minister on Chinzah Affairs; Pu C. Ngunlianchunga, MLA; Pu K. Hrekung, Opposition Leader; and Pu HC. Vanlalruatpuia, President of the Chin Youth Leaders’ Association (CYLA), among other organizers and dignitaries.
