Lawngtlai, April 21, 2026:Today at 11:00 AM, an important meeting of the Village Level Parking Management Committee (VLPMC) was held at the LADC CEM Conference Hall under the chairmanship of Pu C. Lalsawmzuala, Chief Executive Member (CEM), LADC.

During the meeting, various plans were discussed regarding the implementation and management of roadside overnight parking fees.

In his address, Pu C. Lalsawmzuala stated that this initiative is a new and significant step towards the development of the region. As it is in the initial stage, it may not be perfect from the beginning, and there may be challenges and criticisms. However, members were encouraged to work together patiently and make every effort to ensure that it becomes beneficial and reflects positively on the community and the region.

Pu HC. Vanlalruatpuia, Transport Officer & Secretary (VLPMC), presented reports on existing plans and proposed actions. After discussions, the following resolutions were made:

1. The launching program will be held on April 30, 2026, at 7:00 AM, and apart from committee members, others will also be invited.

2. From the collected parking fees, 40% will be retained by VLPMC for management, while the remaining 60% will be deposited to LADC.

3. Vehicles parked in no-parking zones will be penalized. The penalty will be higher than the regular parking fee (Rs. 250 increased to Rs. 500).

Approved Parking Fees

HMV / Pick-up (Above):

* Per night: Rs. 500

* Per month: Rs. 2,500

LMV & Three-Wheeler:

* Per night: Rs. 250

* Per month: Rs. 1,500

Two-Wheelers:

* Per night: Rs. 150
