Lawngtlai, January 22, 2025: The Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC) has initiated a Refresher Course Training Programme for Hindi teachers within its jurisdiction. This program is a collaborative effort between the Central Institute of Hindi, Regional Centre, Shillong (under the Ministry of Education, Government of India), and the Hindi Wing of the Education Department (Middle School) of the LADC. The inaugural function was presided over by Pu Alex Lalzawmpuia, Hindi Education Officer, LADC, with Pu F. Lalhmachhuana, Elementary Education Officer (Middle School), LADC, serving as the chief guest.
In his address, Pu F. Lalhmachhuana emphasized the increasing importance of the LADC region to India and the consequent significance of the Hindi language. He urged Hindi teachers to actively engage in the Refresher Course to ensure that students in the area achieve proficiency in Hindi. He also expressed gratitude to the Central Institute of Hindi, Shillong, for their substantial financial support in organizing such training programs in Mizoram's Autonomous District Council areas and encouraged continued collaboration for future initiatives.
The training program features key personnel from the Central Institute of Hindi, Shillong, including Prof. Parth Sarthi Pandey and Training Coordinator Dr. Mayank Kumar. Resource persons for the ten-day course include Dr. V.R. Ralte, Hindi Education Officer of Siaha District; Pu Alex Lalzawmpuia, Hindi Education Officer of the LADC; Pu David Azyu, Assistant Hindi Education Officer of the Mara Autonomous District Council; and Tv. Moses Lalvenhima, M.A., M.Ed. (Hindi).
Travel and daily allowances for participating teachers and students will be provided according to the norms of the Central Institute of Hindi, Shillong. Approximately 63 Hindi teachers from the LADC area are expected to participate in this training
