Lawngtlai, October 29, 2024: Today, Pu C. Lalmuanthanga, the Chief Executive Member of the Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC), provided financial assistance of Rs. 5,000/- (Five Thousand) to the Bawm communities affected by the recent crisis stemming from Bangladesh.
During his address, Pu C. Lalmuanthanga expressed deep concern for the challenges and hardships faced by these communities. He acknowledged the serious situation they are in and emphasized the importance of unity and support among all community members during this difficult time. The CEM reaffirmed that while the conditions remain challenging, efforts will continue to provide necessary aid and assistance to those in need.
The announced financial aid of Rs. 5,000/- (Five Thousand) is intended to help alleviate some of the immediate difficulties faced by the affected families. Pu Lalmuanthanga urged the community to come together and support each other, stressing that the council is committed to recognizing and addressing their needs.
The CEM concluded by reiterating the LADC's dedication to ensuring that the Bawm communities receive the help they require and that their concerns will be prioritized in ongoing support efforts.
Representatives of the Bawm refugee community expressed their gratitude to the CEM for his courtesy and for giving financial help to meet their immediate needs.
