Lawngtlai, January 16, 2025:  Today, Pu C. Lalmuanthanga, Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC), met with Col. Rahul Chouhan, the newly appointed 2nd Commandant stationed at Lunglei, to hold a productive discussion on various significant matters. During the meeting, they addressed issues related to enhancing border security, the regulation of cross-border movement from neighboring countries, and collaborative efforts to strengthen the security framework in the region. They also reviewed the measures implemented by the central government to improve community welfare and security within Lawngtlai District and the LADC area.  

The discussions further included the need to counter illegal activities by preventing unauthorized border infiltration and ensuring effective action against offenders. The contributions of local organizations such as CYLA (Central Young Lai Association) and DRS (District Rural Society) were acknowledged and appreciated for their dedication to the region's welfare and security. Both parties expressed their commitment to maintaining open communication and addressing challenges collaboratively to ensure the safety and development of the area.
