Lawngtlai, March 1, 2025: Yesterday marked the celebration of Laifate Kut at the Central YLA Playground, where Rev. David Lalmalsawma Sailo of BCM performed a short devotion, followed by song performed by LIKBK Choir. Mr. K. Lalthanzara, Executive Secretary of LADC, was the event's coordinator.

The celebration was attended by Mr. Lorraine Lalpekliana, Adviser to the Chief Minister, who also gave a speech during the event.

Pu Lorraine Lalpekliana, MLA, emphasized that this year’s celebration should be significant. He encouraged everyone to prioritize the celebration and contribute enthusiastically to make it a memorable event for all, without leaving anyone behind, promoting unity and collective well-being.

He also highlighted the importance of our heritage and history, suggesting that we should strive to pass on good values to future generations, strengthening the bonds among our communities and enhancing our cultural identity. He emphasized the need for inclusivity and collaboration for the betterment of our region and people. 

Pu K. Lalthanzara, Executive Secretary of LADC, emphasized the importance of making the celebration a success through collaboration with the Central YLA and the Art & Culture Department, reminding everyone of the various initiatives and messages vital for fostering our cultural practices. Laifate Kut is indeed a significant occasion for us, bringing our communities together in celebration, and reminding us of the blessings bestowed upon us.

Pu Jakob Lalrindika, General Secretary of CYLA also gave a short speech and reiterated their commitment to work closely with LADC and various stakeholders to enhance their efforts, highlighting the importance of being united in our approach and sharing our understanding of communal goals.

During this year's Hlukhla celebrations, various activities, including the Miss Hlukhla contest and Arm Wrestling competitions, were held. Pu V. Zirsanga, CEM of LADC, along with other significant figures, attended and supported the event, contributing to its success.
