Lawngtlai, August 27, 2024 : Yesterday, Pu C. Lalmuanthanga, Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC), held a meeting to discuss future improvements and measures for effective governance and service delivery within LADC.
Pu C. Lalmuanthanga emphasized, "In the coming days, it is crucial for the departments under LADC to enhance their operational efficiency and effectiveness. I am committed to supporting these efforts," he stated.
The meeting highlighted the need for departments to work diligently to address developmental issues and improve service delivery. Key points included the importance of enhancing local revenue collection, exploring viable financial management strategies, and potentially integrating online payment systems to streamline operations. Pu C. Lalmuanthanga noted that achieving these goals would require continuous assessment and improvement.
Pu Sanghuliana Mualchin, Executive Member of the Taxation Department, reported on the current state of tax administration and compliance. He outlined plans for addressing existing challenges and improving tax collection, emphasizing the need for thorough and effective strategies.
The discussion also focused on optimizing revenue resources and ensuring that tax policies are effective and fair. The Revenue Resources Mobilization Committee was tasked with preparing a detailed report on these matters to be presented in the upcoming Budget Session.
Attendees of the meeting included Pu Sanghuliana Mualchin, Executive Member; Pu Lalropuia Chinzah, Executive Member; and Pu K. Lalthanzara, Executive Secretary of LADC, along with other key officers.
