Lawngtlai, August 9, 2024: Today, Pu C. Lalmuanthanga, Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC), visited the Lai Students' Hostel in Shillong. In his address, Pu Lalmuanthanga emphasized the importance of providing high-quality education and facilities for Lai students, noting that this initiative aims to foster a conducive learning environment. He stressed the need for continuous support to ensure that Lai students can pursue their education effectively, without the added burden of financial constraints.

Pu Lalmuanthanga also highlighted that the hostel would serve as a vital resource for Lai students from various regions, helping them integrate better into academic life while maintaining their cultural heritage. He encouraged the students to take full advantage of this opportunity to excel in their studies and contribute positively to their communities.

The visit was attended by Pu Lalropuia Chinzah, Executive Member (EM), Pu HC. Lalthawmliana, EM, and Pu H. Lalmuansanga, Deputy Chairman, among other dignitaries. They expressed their support and congratulated the LADC team for their efforts in establishing the hostel.

Pu HC. Vanlalchhuana, Superintendent of Lai Hostel, Shillong, also shared his appreciation for the LADC's initiative and promised that the hostel would provide excellent facilities and support for Lai students.
