Lawngtlai, July 27, 2024 — Yesterday, the Sanitation & Waste Management Department of the Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC) conducted a thorough cleaning operation at the LADC Office Complex. The initiative saw the active participation of officers and staff, who worked diligently to ensure a clean and orderly environment.

According to Pu C. Lalhmunsiama, Sanitation & Waste Management Officer (S&WMO), the decision to undertake this cleanup was driven by the need to maintain high standards of cleanliness in the office premises. He noted that the office's current state required a significant cleanup, which has now been successfully carried out with notable improvements.

Pu L. Daniala, Executive Member of the LADC, praised the initiative for its effectiveness and emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness not only within the office but across the district. He highlighted that the effort is a reflection of the council's commitment to improving the overall environment and ensuring a better quality of life for its residents.

The Sanitation Department's efforts are seen as a significant contribution to public health and community well-being, setting a precedent for future activities aimed at enhancing the district's infrastructure.
